Raleigh Galloway Update for Sat, March 18th, 2017, 7:30 AM - Fleet Feet - Durham at Southpoint

Greetings Awesome Raleigh Galloway Team,

Racing season is my favorite time of the year, and we right in the middle of it. Congrats to those of you the raced last week and good luck to our members running this weekend at Tobacco Road, Shamrock and other places.

For our Raleigh Galloway members running the Tobacco Road Half or Full, please meet at 6:30 AM at the Gear Check Tent for a pre-race group photo. The race starts at 7:00 AM.

Weather Report:

47 degrees at 7:30 AM WITH 80% chance of rain going up to 57 degrees by noon. BREAK OUT YOUR RAINGEAR...and yes, it'll be perfect running weather.

Clothing Recommendations: RAINGEAR - 40-49°: long sleeved T, shorts or tights or wind pants, sock or mittens and gloves•

Other Important Stuff:

We still need 6 volunteers for our Tobacco Road Marathon AId Station captained by Meri Kotlas.

2017 Tobacco Road Marathon – Sunday, 3/19/17, 20 Water Stop Volunteers needed total: We have only 1 aid station this year.

The duty is 7 AM to 2 PM. All Volunteers receive a T-shirt and must register online.

Instructions: Click on SIGN UP TO BE A VOLUNTEER > Enter your personal info and locate our water stop.

1. Water Station – Galloway and Friends - Olive Chapel Turnaround, 7 AM to 2 PM. – 20 volunteers needed. Meri Kotlas – Captain. Email: meri@bitwranglers.com,

Also, we need help at the Tobacco Road Marathon - Raleigh Galloway Expo Booth at the Embassy Suites on Harrison for the following shifts:

Friday Volunteers: 3pm to 8pm. TJ Busch, Bob Lauck, Maryann Smith
Saturday Volunteers: 10 am to 2 pm OPEN, 2 pm to 6 pm- Lila Lawson.

We have plenty of EXPO Volunteers for Friday but we need several volunteers for Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM TO 6:00 PM.
