What a pleasure it was to experience a hometown marathon WAHULA style! Sara C and I found the 4:30 pacers, BD, Dana and Mike, three Wahula Galloway friends! We looked around and most of our fellow 4:30 runners were our friends from Wahula's Galloway team. Almost 7 am and who did we hear over the loudspeaker but Ron Wahula himself counting us down to gun time! The gorgeous course was...hilly....but Ron delivered a gorgeous day! Wahula's Galloway team cheerleaders were all over the course. Thank you to our very own Stephanie and Eric and so many others for cheering us on and volunteering to keep us safe and hydrated! There were some well placed cheerleaders that gave me little adrenaline rushes when I needed them the most! One conversation on the run I remember was banter about WAHULA miles....

Sara and I finished 26.2 non-Wahula miles with a time of 4:23:45. This was a PR for Sara C..Hooray!!..and not too far off my PR time. We ran Wahula's Galloway style 4:1...Ron Wahula coaching tips work!

We received what must have been a Wahula inspired finisher's medal that you would not believe! It is so large Ron provided a stand for display purposes! The medal was thoughtfully designed!
